Bentley S2

1962 • 88,000 Miles • SOLD

The Bentley S2 is a luxury car produced by Bentley from 1959 until 1962. The successor to the S1, it featured the new Rolls-Royce – Bentley L Series V8 engine and much improved performance was made possible by its increased output. Power steering was also standard, and a new dashboard and steering wheel were introduced. Some early S2s were built with the earlier S1 dashboard.

A high-performance S2-derived Continental edition was also produced.

A total of 1900 standard and long-wheelbase S2 car chassis were built between 1959 and 1962. Almost all were fitted with standard factory bodywork. A number had coachbuilt bodies by Park Ward, Hooper, H. J. Mulliner & Co., and James Young.

This lovely example is finished in Sage green over Smoke green and the past two owners have maintained her to a very high standard.

The bodywork was restored several years ago along with the bumpers and the last owner continued with the mechanical spending around £13000 over the past couple of years inc – Brakes, servo, electrics, ignition, carpets etc.

The only items outstanding are now in progress by ourselves; some minor leather improvement, hubcap refurb,75 profile tyres and detailed valet.

The result will be one of the best presented S2s on the market and a very useable car for any use age inc long trips in Europe perhaps.

Complete with a good history file inc all recent expenditure and original factory information also.
