Built and prepared to Works FIA specification by renowned specialists Brown & Gammons, MG motorsport and is a well known and highly competitive historic rally car, which until recently remained in single family ownership from new here in the UK.

During it’s preparation the emphasis naturally was on performance and lightness, however strength and safety were top of the list. The minimum weight specified by the FIA is 840 kilograms, this car thanks to and Aluminium bonnet and works spec rear valance weighs just 900 kilograms.

Powered by an 1,840cc Oselli Stage 2 engine ,further improved by MG Motorsport, incorporating a high-lift camshaft, lightened flywheel and strengthened rockers. Good and strong, it breathes via a single Weber carburettor. Power is transmitted via a Helix paddle clutch to a later four-synchro gearbox with competition overdrive, and thence to a limited-slip differential and strengthened competition half-shafts. Although intended for historic rallying, it would not take much work to turn the MG into a circuit racer should the new owner so desire.

The interior incorporates a full Safety Devices roll cage, Ridgard racing seats and Willans harnesses, all FIA approved. Instrumentation includes a period Breitling stopwatch, MiG jet fighter chronograph, cockpit clock and twin trip meter, Terratrip dashboard, all well thought out and correctly positioned for the navigator. The car comes complete with an original works hardtop complete with vent.
