1965 Triumph TR4A – Sold
Built for the USA market in 1965 this one lived in California all its life before returning to UK in 1994 escaping the ravages of the UK climate for 30 years.
The export cars did not have the Independent rear suspension of the UK cars as the live axle was preferred by the Americans so the colour and spec is the same today.
A renowned UK specialist converted her to rhd and carried out some restoration in late 1994 and ongoing maintenance has kept the car in great condition.
The official legal export certification shows the mileage was 38000 mls when exported and supported by the comprehensive history inc mots, invoices, photos shows that the car is now only showing 42000 mls.
Overall she is a lovely useable car with strong rebuilt engine and a good history file.
With prices of the TR range rising this offers good value and another great long term investment opportunity.
A TR with the hood down drifting along on a hot summer day must be one of the nicest motoring experiences with the driver connecting well with the feedback from the chassis and running gear.
