Jaguar E Type series 2 Coupe

This is a very significant matching numbers E-Type being the second from last Series II FHC ever made. XRW 51J was supplied new by Peter Lindner (of Lindner/Nocker Lightweight E-Type racing fame), Frankfurt, Germany to a British army officer. Spending it’s early years in Germany, before being shipped to Canada in 1987. After two years the E-Type was shipped to Liverpool and between 1997 and 2003 was subject of a major restoration that was carried out to an exceptionally high standard.

Since the major 6 year rebuild finished in 2003 the car has only covered around 3000 miles and presents beautifully. The bodyshell was totally stripped down to the tub and the shell rebuilt as required with all running gear removed. Photos highlight various new panels being fitted to the body and mechanical work to include the differential being overhauled and the engine stripped down. Many new parts were fitted to the car including new stainless steel exhaust pipes and manifolds, new polished rocker covers, electronic ignition, fuel pump, various re-chroming and new rubbers. On build up the E-Type was overhauled with all new brakes, suspension and steering, being professionally converted to RHD.

Today she still presents superbly with an excellent, straight bodyshell and the paint work is absoloutley first class. On the road this Jaguar won’t disappoint with wonderful power delivery; it’s quick, pulls superbly and sounds fabulous with a lovely exhaust note.
