1964 JAGUAR MK2 “3.8 LITRE” – SOLD
By the late 1950s Jaguar were a force to be reckoned with after several wins at Le mans and already producing great cars such as the Xk range.The Mark 2 was another William Lyons masterpiece with its compact sports saloon body and range of powerful six cylinder race bred engines.
This striking example finished in British Racing Green started life as a 3.4 litre and was upgraded to 3.8 litres around 25 years ago and also has wire wheels, overdrive and also power steering.
The Heritage certificate shows that she was always a Uk supplied rhd car.
She has enjoyed ongoing restorative maintenance including a high quality body refresh some years ago which still looks great today
There is a history file with invoices, mots.
Even the tool kit is complete and the interior leather is the original material so showing its age but still in great condition.
On the road it is hard to believe that she is 50 years old with good acceleration and handling that belies her age.
She is converted to unleaded and there are no modern upgrades making this a very original specification car.
