1979 FORD CAPRI 3.0 S MK3 BEST AVAILABLE – ULEZ EXEMPT – SOLD
Designed by the same American involved in the Mustang conception it was obvious that the Capri would be popular as it successfully slotted into the marketplace seamlessly in 1968.
Over the 18 year production run nearly 2 million units were sold with a wide variety of engines from 1300cc to the 3.2 V6.
Today it is a 1970s icon and one of the most endearing classics available with most of us remembering having one or knowing someone who did.
This stunning Signal orange example is one of the last 3.0 litre cars using the ubiquitous Essex V6 before Ford moved over to the Cologne 2.8 engine.
She has been restored to represent the best possible standard of detail and has been featured in many magazines and articles (there is a separate box with 10 magazine articles and even a show board )
She is well known in Ford enthusiast circles and has just been part exchanged by a serious 20 plus car collector who simply wanted the best 3.0 litre he could buy and enjoy.
There is a good history file with invoices, old mots etc. and original manuals.
