The Mercs and BMWs of the 1980s have a special place in motoring history being some of the most over engineered well built cars of all time.

They were bullet proof with fabulous mechanics, great electrics and made from heavy thick grade steel.

Even the paintwork was in a different class to their competitors with a deep lustre the British could only dream of.

Although the 190 was produced in many forms the 2.6 litre was a great car with its 6 cylinder engine making it stand out from lesser 4 cylinder models in the range and they were always produced with a good specification.

The beautiful black example was supplied by Alan Day Mercedes to its one keeper who kept it until last year and ordered it with air con, electric sunroof, Alloys, leather interior etc.

Always well cared for she still looks stunning today and even has the original dealer stickers and tool bag.

There is a great history file and everything works perfectly well including the air conditioning.

On the road it’s hard to believe she is 30 years old with a solid feel and smooth mechanicals making a great statement.
