1999 BMW HARTGE H5 – 56,000 MILES – SOLD
The 5 series was undoubtedly the large luxury car to beat in the 1990s with bulletproof build quality and reliability.
I drove a succession of 8 BMW GB company cars covering 10k miles in each and can report that I didn’t encounter one fault, rattle or defect!
Specialist firms like Alpina, Schnitzer and Hartge were available to modify the models to customers orders as the standard cars had a limited amount of options available.
This stunning Oxford green 528i was modified from new by Hartge UK aka Birds Uk and the specification was as follows:
Hartge tuned engine 230bhp
Sports exhaust
Sport suspension
Hartge aero kit
19” custom alloys
There is a great history file including original service and handbooks, magazine articles, youtube video test of this actual car.
Recent expenditure includes new disc brakes all round, new screen, Dunlop’s sport max, etc and she is ready to be enjoyed.
Apart from improving the looks, the drivability is improved with very sharp handling and a much more responsive engine and great sounding exhaust.
Only a handful of UK RHD H5s were built making this a very rare and collectable classic and one that can be used every day if necessary.
Supplied fully inspected, serviced with 12 months warranty.
