1969 LOTUS ELAN PLUS 2 (THREE OWNERS) – 69,000 MILES – SOLD
After the success of the Elan it was time to produce a more practical 2 plus 2 car in the Lotus range.
They managed successfully and another stunning coupe was launched late in 1967 and only a few thousand built upto 1974.
This beautiful example was in the same family ownership until very recently and has many of the early models features.
She was restored in the mid 1990s by renowned Lotus restorer Mick Miller to a very high standard and still presents beautifully today.
The original owner was a famous Doctor who was highly involved In the design of medical Ultrasound scanning and maintained the car meticulously for over 40 years.
There is a lovely history file including the inevitable warranty correspondance to Lotus we always see and are amused by and restoration details invoices dating back to the 1960s onwards even the original sales invoice indeed one of the most comprehensive history files we have seen.
On the road, she is a delight ,light and nimble whilst still providing enough power to entertain in the way only Lotus does.
