1958 JAGUAR XK 150 3.4 SE – SOLD

Producing one of the first sports cars that could comfortably cruise at over 100 mph for miles on end was clearly a difficult task in 1950 and Jaguar achieved it before anyone else with great success.
The XK was a highly desirable machine and with its racing Provence and amazing twin cam engine it was the car to own.
By the time the XK 150 was released it was much more refined and as the predecessor to the new E Type they specced them well and the last years of production were SE models.
This lovely original RHD SE was delivered in January 1958 to a London Plc and enjoyed many years of good service before being totally restored in the late 1990s to a very high standard by Marque specialists.
She was rebuilt from the chassis up and the engine /gearbox also rebuilt.
The standard was very high and she presents beautifully today and has been cherished by her owners.
The history file is comprehensive including old mots,photos and invoices from the restoration,invoices dating back to the 1980s and a Heritage certificate confirming she still has the original engine fitted.
Recent expenditure includes power steering conversion,modern air conditioning and alternator all fitted to enable the owner to enjoy long distance trips in comfort and speed.
On the road she is a very special car with super performance and long legs for cruising with the Moss overdrive gearbox making progress easy.
