1973 ROVER P6 3500 S MANUAL – SOLD

These were a super sports saloon in period and with a v8 engine and manual gearbox still a great drivers car today.

British car maker Rover launched their P6 in 1963 at The Earls Court Motor Show. A superbly modern, fashionable and striking design that was well received by the attendees of the show; media and public alike.

The P6 only a year later was awarded European Car of the year, due to its pretty design and mechanical prowess. From the De Dion tube rear suspension, disc brakes all round, aluminium panels used on the bonnet and the boot lid she was very much a sports car, and very much enjoyed by the young executives in period. In 1968 a Buick derived 3528cc V8 was offered, a leap forward from the initial 4 cylinder offering and further growing the cars reputation.

This beautiful example was built rhd for export to Singapore and then Australia probably the main reason why she has not rusted away like most UK used examples

She returned to Blighty in 2018 and has been owned by Rover enthusiasts since.

Finished in Almond with black trim she is a wonderful example and presents beautifully.

On the road she is very tight and the engine/gearbox work perfectly well and you feel she is ready to use on any journey with reliability.

Theres a comprehensive history file including early years.
